The Owls extended their lead to 20-9 and won the set 25-11. Following the match we asked Liberty head coach Mike Carey on his thoughts of the game. “We were too worried on mistakes. And were not moving freely. We need to continue to talk even when we are down in the match. Body language also says a lot.” However, Carey was also very pleased with some aspects of the game; When asked what the Lions did well in the contest Carey responded, “In the third set I was very pleased with our improvement when passing after receiving a ball. We also did better tracking a ball with our whole body instead of just using our arms.” The Lion’s record fell to 3-3 overall 1-1 in the PAAC. The Owl’s record improved to 2-0. The Lions play at home on Tuesday vs APA.
